Our Chefs
Jenny and Tracy were college roomates at UMass and after college they each went their own way to build their professional careers. When they coincidently moved 10 minutes from each other in Florida, they decided to team up on their next adventure to share their passion for cooking with the world!
Jenny Dell
Jenny Dell discovered her passion for cooking at a young age. At just ten years old, she began taking classes at the Culinary Institute of Connecticut. In high school, Jenny started her own catering company, where she catered weddings, graduation parties and local events throughout the state.
Jenny attended the University of Massachusetts, where she double majored in Hospitality and Tourism Management and Sport Event Marketing. (She met her best bud, roommate, and future blog-partner, Tracy!)
After graduation, she landed at ESPN, working in the Event Production department. A few months into the job, she was given the chance to audition on-air. What started as a few segments here and there quickly transitioned to her covering Super Bowl’s, hosting red carpet events, and interviewing countless athletes.
Jenny went on to cover the Boston Red Sox as an on-field reporter for NESN during the 2012 and 2013 Championship season. In 2014, she joined CBS Sports as a sideline reporter on their Football and Basketball coverage and you can find her as a host on CBS Sport HQ.
Jenny always dreamed of working on a television show around food and her dream came alive in Campus Eats. The award winning show, which she co-host’s with Food Network’s own, Troy Johnson, provides a first-hand look at the unique and iconic restaurants found across The Big Ten.
Now married to a former athlete with a large appetite and mom to 2 beautiful baby girls, she has kept the passion for culinary arts alive!
Tracy Simon
As a child Tracy grew up intently watching the way people cook in the kitchen. She admired her grandmother’s amazing food and how she cooked every meal from scratch. She also loved watching her mother cook because it seemed so much easier but the food was just as delicious. Later in life Tracy realized the secret was balance – her mother perfected the art of making food at home, but using some tips and tricks it cut the effort in half. This is what inspired Tracy’s lifelong passion of simple cooking.
Tracy went to the University of Massachusetts where she studied Marketing & Communications, and most importantly where she and Jenny met! Little did they know what was in store for them, becoming business partners years after graduation. In addition to her work on SIMply DELLicious, Tracy is a leader in digital and inbound marketing and a yoga teacher.
Being a busy businesswoman and mom of 2, Tracy has focused her energy figuring out how to make the best life in the simplest way; aka she wants it all, and she wants it easily. With a busy schedule and love for cooking, Tracy found a new challenge… how to create the absolute best recipes that are easy and taste like she has spent hours in the kitchen.
Tracy is passionate about inspiring others to be balanced, positive and fulfilled and is excited to bring this to life through SIMply DELLicious.
