This delectable breakfast is saturated with cinnamon, raisins, brown sugar, butter, milk and eggs. There is no shortage of flavors getting soaked into your bread. We love the balance of sweetness in this dish. For those who like a simpler taste this french toast is perfect ... there is a slight sweetness from the raisins and sugar. If you’re a sugar lover and can’t get enough sweet, add some confectionary sugar and maple syrup for full on deliciousness overload.
An easy make ahead meal OR a last last minute meal. Wait what? Yes this can be either one... if you are an overachiever you can definitely make this the night before and bake in the morning. We also realized that it can be prepared and baked immediately and still taste just as yummy!! 😳
- 1 loaf Cinnamon Raisin Bread Cubed (Challah preferred but any type will work)
- 1 cups Milk (whole or 2%)
- 8 Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
- Cutting board
- Mixing Bowl
- 9x13 baking dish

Preheat oven to 350 and spray baking pan with non-stick cooking spray

Cut bread into bite sized pieces and pour into prepared pan.

Combine milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and brown sugar.

Pour milk mixture over bread in the baking pan. Mix around to make sure all pieces have absorbed some of the liquid mixture.

Bake for 45 minutes and enjoy! Top with syrup and confectionary sugar if you need some extra sweetness in your life.
