These are no plain ole' ham sandwiches, this ham and cheese slider recipe has a combination of flavors you may have never imagined. In addition to the amazing and flavorful sandwiches, this recipe is super easy because you don't have to make individual sandwiches. All you do is slice the package of rolls in half, place the meat and cheese on top and then add your "special sauce mix". This is great snack for entertaining, game days or holidays. As always, our recipes are versatile so you can use any combination of meats and cheeses or different seasonings. You can also get creative and use flavored breads if you are feeling up to it!
- 12 oz Package of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- 1 lb Deli Ham or leftover fresh ham (sliced thin)
- 1/2 lb Swiss Cheese
- 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 3 tbsp Butter, melted
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- Optional Toppings: Everything but the bagel seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic powder, parmesan, etc.
-
Preheat oven to 350F. Line a 9×13-inch pan with aluminum foil and coat with cooking spray
-
Slice the entire 'slab' or rolls in half. (You don’t want to pull the rolls apart and slice individually because you want to keep them connected.)
-
Place the bottom 'sheet' of the rolls in prepared pan.
-
Layer 1/2 the ham and top with 1/2 the cheese. Then add the remaining ham and cheese.
-
In a small bowl, whisk together the dijon mustard, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
-
Spread this mixture on the top 'sheet' of rolls (on the underneath where you would spread condiments for a sandwich.)
-
Place top 'sheet' of rolls over the bottom 'sheet' with the ham and cheese.
-
Pour melted butter over the top and top with everything but the bagel seasoning (or other seasoning of your choice)
-
Cover the sandwiches with foil and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Uncover the rolls and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until the tops of the rolls are lightly browned.
