-1 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes
-1 15 oz Can Tomato Sauce
-1 6 oz Tomato Paste
Ingredients
Directions
Place skillet over medium high heat, break up and brown ground meat and sausage.
Drain fat from meat, lower heat to medium and add in chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook five minutes until onions are starting to turn translucent.
In saucepan, boil water and a pinch of salt for the pasta.
Back to the sauce…Add in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste (OR whatever jarred sauce you have laying around) and lower the heat to low. Add in the Italian Seasoning and Sugar. Stir and let simmer for 15 minutes
Water should be boiling by now. Drop in the pasta and set a timer for whatever the package says. We want the pasta to be al dente!
Once pasta is cooked, strain.
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS finish your pasta IN your sauce. This will finish cooking your pasta to the perfect consistency AND will coat it properly with the meat sauce. So, add your strained pasta right into the skillet with the sauce. Combine and let them marry together for a minute.
Plate and Serve (or put in tupperware for your wonderful family to reheat later)
*Always good to serve with a big garden salad and garlic bread!
