The day we've been waiting for has finally arrived... Jenny and Tracy's Ultimate Chili Cook Off. 
2 Women, 2 Chili Recipes, 2 Crock pots and 2 AMAZING options for your best chili ever. 

These two recipes are the best and easiest chili recipes you will find and they satisfy many appetites. We have one chili for the savory-sweet lover, and the other chili recipe for a classic, hearty option. Both chili recipes only have 8 ingredients - they are both easy and can be made right in your slow cooker. 

We had so much fun making these recipes because we each had an opportunity to try a new chili recipe and we were truly impressed with each others! Although they had a completely different taste, each one was so delicious. Both of us being very competitive, it was a unique and fun experience to go head-to-head in a cooking battle. Okay, it wasn't that dramatic because we didn't have a live audience to test them, but it sure was fun! 

The verdict: It really comes down to what type of meal you are craving. Savory/Sweet or Hearty/Classic. We encourage you to try both 🙂

Jenny's Cowboy Chili
Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Onion, diced
  • 1 can Bush's Maple and Cured Bacon Baked Beans (28 oz can)
  • 1 can Ranch Style Beans (16oz can)
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1/4 cup Mustard
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • Hot Sauce (Tabasco)
Cooking Things:
  • Slow Cooker (Crock Pot)
Instructions
To prepare and serve immediately
  1. Brown ground beef and onion on stove top.

  2. Add ground beef, onion and remaining ingredients in slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

To prepare and freeze for future
  1. Brown ground beef and onion on stove top.

  2. Mix remaining ingredients and add ground beef mixture. Add to airtight container or gallon sized freezer bags and pop into the freezer!

  3. When you are ready to cook, pour contents of chili directly into slow cooker for 8 hours on low or 4-6 on high.

Tracy's Classic Chili
Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Onion, diced
  • 1 can Chili Beans
  • 8 oz Tomato Sauce
  • 4 oz Salsa (about a half jar)
  • 1/2 packet Chili Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
Cooking Things:
  • Slow Cooker (Crock Pot)
Instructions
  1. Brown ground beef and onion on stove top.

  2. Add ground beef, onion and remaining ingredients in slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
